Tumi Thik, Jodi blab, Tumi Thik
“Tumi Thik, Jodi bhabo tumi thik” is based on “Right You Are—If You Think You Are” a play by Luigi Pirandello, produced in Italian in 1917 as Così è (se vi pare) and published the following year. This work, like almost all of Pirandello’s plays, contrasts art and life, demonstrating that truth is subjective and relative.
Raju Kotal, his wife and his mother-in-law’s interrelationship raise endless curiosity amongst some of their influential neighbours. The curiosity reaches a level that creates turmoil in their personal lives. Inspite of all these, does the real truth come out? … or is it that truth is indeed “relative”?
